I have always been enamored with stories. Whether through dramatically relaying personal adventures and misadventures to anyone who would listen, to becoming so engrossed in a novel that all concept of time is lost, stories are what capture my imagination and inspire my thoughts. It is through the story that I create visual art. From the "another time, another place" illustration to the professional business brochure, I use storytelling to convey a message, a feeling, a moral with images and text. I set the stage, dress the characters, and adjust the lighting just so, bringing the |

artwork to life, beckoning the viewer to come in for a closer look.
I am grateful I have been able to make a career in the print industry. My daily exposure to good design and talented peers are a constant reminder to push myself further than the day before, to break boundaries, and learn from mistakes. There are many ways for an artist to tell a story and convey a message. Finding the most effective, captivating and memorable solution is what makes good design and art come alive. Everyone and everything has a story. It needs only to be told.
